About

I am 75 years old, I’m not a writer—I’m a lifelong student driven by an insatiable curiosity for human behavior, philosophy, and the search for meaning. My life has been a journey of exploration, questioning, and relentless pursuit of something I couldn’t quite name. It took me decades to realize that the search was never for something out there—it was always within me.
Why Did I write this Book!
A Life of Searching
For as long as I can remember, my mind has been a constant storm of images, ideas, and an unshakable feeling that something was missing.
I didn’t know what it was, only that I had to find it.
That conviction took me across continents, from the icy desolation of Antarctica to the roaring force of the Niagara Falls, from the rugged peaks of the Andes to the endless expanse of the Atacama Desert.
I traveled through Argentina by land, selling advertising in towns and cities I had never seen before. I drove across the United States, selling sunglasses at fairs and trade shows, finding any excuse to keep moving, keep searching.

I built businesses from the ground up—construction, mechanics, sales. I tried everything, convinced each time that this was it. And yet, it never was.
No matter how many places I went, how many ventures I started, something always felt just out of reach. The one thing I never stopped to ask was:
Who am I? What do I really want?
The Lessons I didn't See!
Through it all, one thing remained constant: the principles my mother instilled in me.
She came from a family of farmers, where education was scarce, but honesty, integrity, and commitment were unbreakable laws.
My grandfather never went to school, yet his handshake was worth more than gold.
My mother, with only a third-grade education, carried herself with the kind of unwavering integrity that no amount of formal schooling could teach.
At the time, I didn’t recognize the power of those principles.
I thought I was looking for something bigger, something more. But as life went on, I paid the price for my restlessness.
I lost my first family. I lost my health. I came close to losing my mind.
A battle with cancer, a heart attack, and the limits of aging finally forced me to slow down. The days of climbing rooftops, jumping fences, and working 14-hour shifts were over.
And that’s when I discovered the real search was never out in the World—it was within.
The Awakening!
My search led me to an article that changed everything:
"If you want to change your world, you must first change yourself." I red that line and I stopped, cold...
That single thought shattered everything I believed about what was missing in my life. The power to transform everything had always been in me—I just never knew how to harness it.
That realization led me to Marcus Aurelius and the timeless wisdom of Stoicism. His Meditations became my study, my obsession. I read, memorized as many as I could, and applied basic universal principles, internalizing what it truly meant to live with discipline, clarity, and virtue.
And in that process, I saw something even greater:

I wasn’t the only one searching.
The confusion, the frustration, the lack of direction—it wasn’t just my story. It was the story of millions.
But the books I found on Stoicism were either too academic, too theoretical, or simply a repetition of the original ideas without telling people how to actually live by them. That’s when I decided to write "The Inner Compass"—a book designed to make timeless wisdom practical, simple, and compelling.
I wasn’t the only one searching.
What if someone had taught me these principles when I was seven or eight years old?
How different would my life could have been?
How different would the world be if every man, woman, and child had the opportunity to learn these lessons early in life?
What if we made that possible?
What if we reached out and tried to do just that?
